Agrarian LivingI just learned of a great resource: The New Agrarian Center is committed to connecting, “…grassroots communities in an effort to grow a healthy local food system- healthy for body, land, economy, and community.”

Based in the state of Ohio, this organization offers consultations for those who desire additional direction in coordinating their own local food systems, related publications for support, and hands-on workshops for group learning.  If you’d prefer to gain information on the subject by simply doing some reading, also consider looking into the book series entitled, Agriculture at a Crossroads .  With an initial summary, six volumes, and a final synthesis of the major food sustainability-based issues, divided by geographic region, it’s incredibly comprehensive.
