Pub in England Barters, Serves Up Local Food PDF Print E-mail

The Pigs pub in Edgefield, England, has been bartering with its customers. If a customer grows their own produce or raises or catches their own meat or fish, they are able to trade it in for free booze or a credit on their bill. The restaurant then cooks and serves up the local food items. This system has increased in popularity as living costs in the area have been rising. An unusual way to serve up local foodstuffs. As the saying goes: every thing old is new again!
